The CDC won't release their 2021 abortion numbers until the end of the year, but we needn't wait that long for a reliable nationwide total. Based on state abortion numbers from 33 states, it's possible to extrapolate a U.S. total for 2021—which we've done. The results, unfortunately, are not what we would have liked.
